The Lunaprise Museum made headlines as the first art and cultural museum to land on the Moon. On February 22, 2024, Lunaprise, curated by Space Blue and a Galactic Legacy Labs payload, carrying digital and inscribed etched twins of an estimated $7 billion worth of real world art and cultural artifacts, was launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and securely attached to the Odysseus lunar lander, marking NASA’s first return to the Moon since 1972 and the most valuable payload in space history. The cultural archives which landed on the south pole of the moon are estimated to preserve art and cultural history for over 1 billion years as it is inscribed into metallic nano fiche discs and quartz crystal archives, ideal for archiving pictures, movies and music forever. This groundbreaking mission marks humanity’s first art and cultural exhibition on the Moon, pushing the boundaries of creativity and exploration.
