The collaboration with the DOJ has allowed for the seizure of assets considered proceeds of pig butchering frauds, a sophisticated scam aimed at deceiving individuals in multiple jurisdictions. What is pig butchering fraud and why is it dangerous The “pig butchering” fraud consists of a financial scam in which victims are convinced to invest large sums in assets with the promise of high and quick profits. International collaborations and significant results The partnership between Tether and the U.S. authorities represents just one of the numerous initiatives in the fight against digital financial crimes.
