The tune has been going strong for nearly two years now, and this week, it manages to make Billboard history once again, as the masses are still enjoying listening to it however they can. “Lose Control” Climbs on the Hot 100 “Lose Control” lifts slightly on the Hot 100, advancing from No. 8 to No. 7. But it’s not the small rise that’s really the story — it’s the amount of time the track has spent inside the competitive top 10. As of this week, Swims’s breakout hit has now spent 58 weeks ranked as one of the 10 most-consumed tracks in the U.S. That figure is staggering, and previously unheard of. With this latest frame, Swims passes The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” which for years had held this specific record with 57 weeks spent in the top 10. “Lose Control” now stands alone. “Lose Control” Inches Toward More Longevity Records Beyond that milestone, “Lose Control” is also currently making history when it comes to total time spent on the chart.
