Thousands of crypto tokens are launched each year. But what happens to most of them? You would be surprised to know that 50% of all cryptocurrencies launched have either died, failed, or been deemed ‘malicious.’ Chainalysis data reveals that over 3 million tokens were launched in 2024. Only 40% were listed on DEXs; of those, 1.7% are still being traded.
