London, 21st of May, 2025 – Leading enterprise blockchain platform, VeChain, has partnered with the industry’s longest-running decentralized interoperability solution, Wanchain, to launch its first-ever cross-chain bridge. The bridge connects the VeChain ecosystem with major blockchains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana. The Wanchain Bridge will allow users to transfer assets such as ETH, USDC, USDT, VET, VTHO, B3TR, BTC, SOL, XRP, and WAN between VeChain, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Wanchain, and XRP Ledger. The integration will introduce wrapped versions of USDT and USDC natively onto VeChainThor, VeChain’s sustainable, enterprise-grade and EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain. This will further unlock stablecoin liquidity for decentralized finance, facilitate the creation of new trading pairs, liquidity pools, and lending protocols. With the latest bridge integration, enterprises will now be able to settle payments in widely trusted digital currencies, exemplifying a major step in advancing tokenized commerce and global payment integration. Wanchain’s cross-chain infrastructure has the industry’s best track record for security and reliability, operating for over 7 years without any downtime or exploits. The VeChain bridge will further undergo a comprehensive, third-party audit by a leading firm prior to launch. The introduction of multiple cross-chain routes is expected to drive significant growth within VeChain’s DeFi ecosystem, potentially exposing VeChain to up to 435 million known addresses across Wanchain’s growing ecosystem of connected chains. Commenting on the launch, Temujin Louie, CEO of Wanchain, said: “We are delighted to partner with VeChain and introduce the Wanchain Bridge to their platform. We anticipate that the integration will not only facilitate cross-chain connectivity within VeChain’s ecosystem but also lead to increased innovation between VeChain and other prominent blockchain networks.” VeChainThor supports VeChain’s partnerships with leading global enterprises such as Walmart China, BMW, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and DNV, among others. The latest news will enable these enterprises to integrate their products and services…
