Worldcoin mulled this idea of an Ethereum-based L2 protocol in April as a means to improve efficiency. At the time, Tools for Humanity (TFH) noted that the World Chain will be secured by the Ethereum network. It involves building on Optimism’s OP Stack, which means it is joining the Superchain. TFH also added that only “verified” humans will be allowed to “enjoy priority blockspace over bots and some free gas.” Tools for Humanity is the core developer behind the Worldcoin project. Its design will allow developers reach millions of real users around the world, with applications that are focused on utility for everyday life.
