After attempting a recovery wave similar to other major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, XRP has struggled to maintain momentum above key resistance levels.
The token recently attempted to climb above the $2.120 and $2.20 resistance zones. The price briefly spiked above $2.20 before sellers entered the market.
A high was formed at $2.2350, but this was followed by a strong bearish reaction. The price subsequently dipped below multiple support levels at $2.150 and $2.120.
Technical analysis reveals a break below a short-term contracting triangle with support at $2.080 on the hourly chart of the XRP/USD pair, using data from Kraken.
This breakdown resulted in a new weekly low of $1.9832, with the price now trading below both $2.10 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average, a key technical indicator.
Technical Levels to Watch
The price has shown some attempt at recovery, moving above the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level of the downward move from the $2.235 swing high to the $1.983 low.
On the upside, XRP may face immediate resistance near the $2.070 level, with major resistance forming near $2.10.
This $2.10 level is especially important as it coincides with the 50% Fibonacci retracement level of the recent downward move. Should XRP clear this hurdle, the next resistance stands at $2.1750.
A decisive move above $2.1750 could potentially send the price toward the $2.20 resistance or even higher targets at $2.2350, $2.40, and possibly $2.50 in the near term.
Support levels on the downside include $2.020 and the psychologically important $2.00 mark. If sellers push the price below $2.00, further decline toward $1.980 and $1.950 support zones becomes likely.

Crypto analyst Egrag has shared a detailed XRP price prediction for April, using monthly timeframe analysis on the XRP/USDT pair.
Despite describing current market sentiment as being in a “boredom phase,” Egrag’s technical breakdown highlights the possibility of substantial price movement this month.
According to the analyst, XRP may experience a downside wick pulling prices into the $1.90–$1.79 region. However, Egrag characterizes this as potentially short-lived, suggesting any test of these lows may not persist for long.

One of the most notable points in Egrag’s analysis is the potential for a 62–70% rally measured from the lowest point of any downside wick (around the $1.79–$1.90 area). The analyst suggests this upside movement could materialize quickly once certain technical thresholds are broken.
Egrag also notes that many market participants grew frustrated after the resolution of Ripple’s SEC case failed to trigger the immediate price surge many had anticipated. The analyst attributes the current sideways trading to diminishing interest and trader fatigue.
XRP is currently consolidating recent losses and trading in a relatively narrow range. The price action in the coming days will likely be determined by whether bulls can overcome the $2.10 resistance or bears manage to push below $2.00 support.
