ZenLedger Unveils Crypto Tax Filing Solution as Reporting Scrutiny Rises
Giving the crypto markets an easy way to file taxes, ZenLedger on Wednesday announced that it will launch an end-to-end tax filing experience. The launch comes at a time when regulatory agencies have adopted stricter rules to curb tax-related frauds relating to digital assets.
ZenLeger signs deal with april
ZenLedger, an American blockchain data and tax solutions provider, on Wednesday signed a partnership with an AI-powered financial technology company april, to launch the first end-to-end tax filing experience in the crypto industry.
The partnership between the two firms will aim to provide tax aggregation, optimization, and filing into a single platform. This significantly streamlines the tax management and filing procedure for dealers of cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
ZenLedger to consolidate tax filing to one platform
To meet their tax compliance requirements, crypto investors and organizations frequently juggle several tools and platforms, contributing to the complexity of cryptocurrency taxes. The extremely fragmented nature of cryptocurrency, DeFi, and NFT platforms has made it challenging to carry out tax optimization procedures without a single insight into all of the transactions occurring across the many exchanges and wallets, such as tax loss harvesting or even basic cost basis computations.
However, ZenLedger’s new integration will aim to relieve taxpayers of the burden. With just one tap, Zenledger customers will be able to integrate their aggregated transaction data into april’s platform. The mobile-friendly tax experience gives customers confidence and control over their filing process by making it simple for them to examine the data they’re inputting.
Changing IRS rules provides ease for the crypto industry
The partnership between ZenLedger and april comes at a time when the market is seeing a paradigm shift in regulatory measures to streamline crypto-related tax filing.
Previously, the U.S. Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) have announced a delay in the execution of new reporting rules for digital asset transactions, providing a brief reprieve to businesses involved in cryptocurrency.
This delay results from the agencies’ efforts to put new regulations into place in light of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act’s modifications.
Despite this temporary relaxation, the existing rules for reporting cash transactions remain unchanged. Businesses are required to report cash receipts over $10,000 using Form 8300 within 15 days following the transaction.
In the wake of stricter scrutiny on taxes, ZenLedger’s deal will bring AI-powered features to a tax filer desk. This could result in an ease of tax filing and a proper record of crypto transactions.
