Metamask Plans To Allow Users To Buy And Transfer Ethereum Using Paypal
The digital payment service PayPal has formed a partnership with ConsenSys, the parent company of MetaMask, to enable users of MetaMask to acquire and transfer Ether using the PayPal network.
According to the statement made on December 14, the service will initially be made available to just a limited number of PayPal customers located inside the United States. This is due to the fact that the United States is one of the main markets for MetaMask in terms of the number of users.
The goal of the partnership is to make it easy for people to buy ETH from PayPal and send it to their MetaMask wallets. They can do this by signing into their mobile MetaMask apps, after which they will be sent to their PayPal accounts to finish the transaction.
PayPal is one of a growing number of traditional payment services that are adding cryptocurrency to their services to make it easier for customers to join the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
MoneyGram, a global digital peer-to-peer payments company, made an announcement in November that users in the United States, including those in Washington, DC, would be able to buy, sell, and hold cryptocurrencies, specifically Bitcoin, Ether, and Litecoin, through the MoneyGram mobile app. This announcement has been made.
In October, Western Union also submitted three trademark applications for the management of digital wallets, the exchange of digital assets, and commodities derivatives. This means that the payment company is probably going to start offering its services in the Web3 area soon.
The mobile payment processing app Cash App has recently introduced support for transactions through the Bitcoin Lightning Network. This will enable users to send and receive bitcoin using the lightning network, which is a quicker and more efficient protocol than layer 2.
