U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a confident State of the Union address this week, declaring that the United States is experiencing what he called “a transformation like no one has ever seen before.” “Our country is bigger, better, richer, and stronger than ever before,” Trump told Congress during his record-breaking 1 hour and 48 minute speech. But while Wall Street was front and center, one thing was noticeably absent from the speech: crypto. “Everybody Is Up, Way Up” Trump leaned heavily into market performance. “The stock market is at 53 all-time record highs since the election,” he said. “Everybody is up, way up.” Trump also floated a proposal to match employees’ 401(k) contributions up to $1,000 for workers who currently lack employer-matching programs. Details were limited, but the message was clear: traditional portfolios are winning.
